(winesearcher pro version)
The 2012 vintage of Bordeaux Blanc is light yellow, with delicate floral aromas. The focused and succulent fruit flavors hint at figs, flowers and citrus. The wine has great acidity that enables it to linger and refresh the palate.
It is ideal as an apéritif or with fish, seafood, or goat cheese.
Chateau Lamothe in the Bordeaux region of southwest France has been producing wine for more than two centuries. Since 1956, four generations of the same family have made reds, whites and roses from grapes grown on the estate's clay-limestone hills. This white is the Bordeaux Blanc, a blend of 40 percent sauvignon blanc, 40 percent semillon and 20 percent muscadelle (the same grapes used in the celebrated sweet wine known as sauternes).
