Tasting Notes
Steely dark berry in color with luscious aromas of blackcurrant and charries on top of indulgent scents of mocha, vanilla and cedar. Take a sip and prepare for your mouth to be swaddled in a full-bodied embrace. This is a Cabernet that dishes out lip-smacking affection with every sip.

Winemaker Notes
Low yielding vines of Cabernet Sauvignon grow in gravel and clay soils on land sloping grdually from the hills to the Russian River as it meanders its way southward. Between vine rows, cover crops of mustard and legumes maintain soil healthy, and serve as a natural check in vine vigor. Harvesting happens in late September to early October. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel and mature for 10-12 months in cask.

California's Alexander Valley has a mediterranean climate characterized by very warm summers and rain that falls mostly during the winter. During the growing season, the sun's heat is tempered by marine air from the Pacific that flows upward from the Petaluma Gap through the Russion River Valley and into the vineyards. This interplay of warm sun and cool air results in fully ripe cabernet with balanced acidity.
